Advising Specialists: MSU, College of Communication Arts and Sciences

The College of Communication Arts and Sciences seeks to hire two Advising Specialists to work with undergraduates through the CAS Academic and Student Affairs Office. These positions will assist with academic advising, which includes course selection and connecting students with campus and local academic resources; use of technological applications and social media to assist students; experiential learning activities; recruitment; persistence and retention issues.

Minimum Qualifications:  A Bachelor’s degree in Communication or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:  A Master’s degree is preferred. Experience in student affairs, academic advising and knowledge of communication careers is preferred.

Review of applications will begin on 06/29/2012, and will continue until the position is filled.
