Open Position: LGBTQA Student Services Coordinator
DePaul University is accepting applications for a full-time LGBTQA Student Services Coordinator. Located in the Dean of Students Office, this coordinator will be responsible for a range of educational, advocacy, and support services for same-sex attracted (SSA) and gender variant (GV) student communities (i.e. LGBTQA communities) consistent with DePaul University’s Catholic, Vincentian, and urban mission which seeks to ensure the dignity and respect of all people.
The coordinator will work to promote, foster, and support a campus environment that is inclusive and supportive of student diversity, specifically as this relates to sexual orientation/attraction/identity and gender expression/identity. This work will be done by providing services, advocacy, programming, and workshops designed to enhance a climate of equality, equity, understanding, and respect for diversity.
Working from an asset based model, this position will foster student development and seek to empower our community to build bridges across differences.
