The Office of Student Development at Marquette University seeks applications for two entry-level coordinator positions in a dynamic office environment at an urban, Catholic, Jesuit university. In addition to the specific job responsibilities listed below, both of these positions are part of a team of student development specialists and will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of peer education, leadership development, multicultural education, community service, and new student orientation programs for students and student organizations. Individuals in these roles are expected to undertake all responsibilities in a manner that reflects the Catholic, Jesuit mission of the University as well as the principles of student development theory. Availability to work some nights and weekends when needed in order to ensure a quality student experience are expectations for these positions.
COORDINATOR FOR MULTICULTURAL AFFAIRS
The Coordinator for Multicultural Affairs is responsible for coordinating opportunities intended to increase awareness of cultural and social identities, encourage students to be engaged in dialogue and cross-cultural involvement at Marquette, and enhance the campus community’s understanding of and appreciation for diversity and social justice. This individual will also support the Assistant Dean for Multicultural Affairs with short- and long-term initiatives intended to support the retention of students from underrepresented racial, ethnic and religious communities,students in the LGBTQ community, and first generation students. In addition to program development, other responsibilities include supervising, advising, and collaboration. This is a full time, 12-month entry-level position that reports to the Assistant Dean for Multicultural Affairs.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration, Student Affairs Administration, College Student Development, or closely related field and 1 -2 years experience in the administration of diversity and/or social justice programming/student services or similar experiences. Salary range is low to mid-30,000 and commensurate with credentials and experience.

COORDINATOR FOR STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS AND LEADERSHIP
The Coordinator for Student Organizations and Leadership serves in a full time, 12-month position and reports to the Assistant Dean for Leadership and Vocation Programs. This individual is responsible for coordinating student organization activities; administering policies and procedures related to student organization recognition, event sponsorship, fundraising, and space utilization; providing support for campus leadership development initiatives; advising Marquette University Student Government (MUSG) committees related to student organizations; and assisting in the administration of the student conduct system.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in student personnel administration, higher education administration, or related field required. Candidates should possess strong oral and written communication skills; commitment to, knowledge of, and experience with student activities, leadership development, multicultural education, and community service programming; and values compatible with and supportive of Marquette’s mission as a culturally diverse, Catholic, Jesuit university. Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of administrative experience (including graduate assistantships) in student activities, program planning, and event management as well as experience advising students from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
