Residence Hall Director: Georgia Institute of Technology

The Georgia Tech Department of Housing is seeking candidates for the position of Residence Hall Director.  The person in this position  does the supervision, training, and evaluation of 8-20 student staff, advisement of Hall Council and/or other student groups, and will participate in the campus emergency response duty rotation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in staff development as well as community development through regular interaction with residents at hall activities and programs.

We are looking for people with Master’s Degrees and at least one year of experience working in a university residential setting.  Successful candidates will demonstrate skills and commitment in the areas of leadership development and promotion of diversity,  leadership and/or supervisory experience, excellent communications skill, ability to act independently and to react appropriately in a crisis situation.  Basic computer skills are necessary.  Prior experience teaching and/or advising a plus.

This is a 12-month, live in, full-time, position.  Compensation package includes competitive salary plus benefits, one bedroom apartment, and meal plan.
