Dean Heller testifies before Congress on college access

July 18, 2012

College of Education Dean Donald E. Heller will testify before Congress this week on the issue of college affordability.

Heller is one of five witnesses called to a panel that will be testifying before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) on July 19, 2012. The hearing, “Making College Affordability a Priority: Promising Practices and Strategies,” begins at 10 a.m.

An expert on college access, Heller will discuss his research on financial aid and tuition pricing and make recommendations for policies that can improve affordability – particularly for students from low- to moderate-income families.

Watch the session on C-SPAN.
