MSU alumnus Pscodna named head football coach for Alma College
Greg Pscodna, an ’89 Physical Education and Exercise Science graduate of the MSU College of Education, has just been hired as the new head football coach for Alma College.
“I am excited to be here at Alma College as football coach,” Pscodna said. “It is a great academic and athletic institution and I look forward to producing competitive student athletes with the goal of winning MIAA championships.”
In prior years, Pscodna was head football coach for Defiance College (’96-’02), where he was twice named Heartland Conference Coach of the Year. Under Pscodna’s direction, the football team expanded from 12 student athletes to 95, and qualified for the NCAA Division III National Playoffs for the first time.
Pscodna has also served as athletic director at Michigan Center High School, assistant head coach/linebackers coach at Grand Valley State University, assistant coach at Northern Michigan, defensive coordinator/secondary coach at Albion College, defensive line coach for the Arena Football League’s Cleveland Thunderbolts and graduate assistant at Michigan State University.
