Student financing in higher education is the topic of a new book co-edited by Michigan State University College of Education Dean Donald Heller.
By examining financial aid trends in different parts of the world, Heller and co-editor Claire Callender contribute to an understanding of how these global trends affect student financial aid costs. The text explores the switch from a taxpayer model to one where students pay a larger share of tuition costs, and what impact various economic and societal factors have on these costs.
Callender is a professor of higher education at Birkbeck College and professor of higher education studies at the Institute of Education, University of London, UK.
Published in May 2013 by Routledge Press, the book is available now on the publisher’s website.
