Fendler honored by UW-Madison School of Education

Department of Teacher Education Professor Lynn Fendler has received the 2014 Distinguished Achievement Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education.

It is the school’s top alumni honor, and was presented to Fendler at a ceremony held on April 12. Fendler received a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction in 1999 from the UW-Madison’s School of Education.

Fendler’s research focuses on education in historical and cultural contexts. She also concentrates on critical studies, diverse learners and educational equity.

Recipients of the Distinguished Achievement Award are selected based on significant contributions to one’s field, and an outstanding record of professional leadership.
