LGBTQIA+ Inclusion In Curling: Virtual Panel

May 17, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (#IDAHOTB), observed on May 17, is a worldwide celebration of sexual and gender diversities and aims to raise awareness of the human rights of LGBTQIA+ people around the world.

The theme of this year’s celebration is: “Together: Resisting, Supporting, Healing!”

Join a virtual panel together with Devin Heroux, and Jeff MacCharles to amplify stories & experiences, and to celebrate the achievements, both on and off the ice, of members of the LGBTQIA+ community in our sport.

The virtual panel will hopefully provide the global curling community an avenue to listen and understand how it can stand together with our fellow LGBTQIA+ curlers, fans, officials, administrators, professionals, and volunteers by resisting any/all forms of bias, discrimination, & hate, and by providing a safe and inclusive space where all sexual and gender diversities are welcomed and cherished.
