New Student Welcome & Convocation Kickoff

Welcome to MSU’s Fall Welcome Convocation Kick-Off, an exciting ceremonial launch to the academic year that unites new and returning students, faculty and staff in a Spartan celebration!

All new students (first year and transfer) must attend this event where we launch the Fall Welcome experience and introduce students to a variety of MSU traditions as a community. Embrace the spirit of MSU as you prepare for the many activities during Fall Welcome designed to help support your transition to university life at MSU.?We are excited to celebrate and welcome you to MSU! This event is jointly hosted by MSU Athletics, New Student Orientation and the Office of Spartan Experiences.

Important notes:

• Bags, purses and backpacks will not be permitted in the Breslin Student Events Center.
• Doors open at 5:30 p.m. You must be seated no later than 6:30 p.m. Early arriving students will have the opportunity to receive giveaways (while supplies last), enter a drawing to win prizes, make a 360 video, engage in a wellbeing informational fair, obtain information about student employment opportunities and participate in community service and civic projects (hosted by Center for Community Engaged Learning).
