MSU Student Success Launch

The Student Success Launch will be kicking off efforts this year with over 250 colleagues who attend this event annually. Mark Largent, Designee for Interim Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education and Genyne Royal, Assistant Dean for Student Success Initiatives and Director of the Neighborhood Student Success Collaborative, will introduce the updated MSU student success vision, mission, values and goals for 2018-2019.

Bridget Burns, Executive Director of the University Innovation Alliance,* will serve as the keynote speaker. Dr. Burns has advised more than 30 university presidents and chancellors across the country, and Washington Monthly Magazine named her one of the “16 Most Innovative People in Higher Education.”

This event will also highlight the work that is going on across the campus to close the opportunity gaps for our lower income, first generation and/or minoritized student populations while increasing student learning, persistence and success. We had great feedback from last year’s launch about the poster session format as a strategy for sharing these efforts and giving others the opportunity to learn more about them.
