Education Policy Center at Michigan State University
The Education Policy Center at MSU serves the state and the nation by generating, identifying, analyzing and disseminating research findings on key education policy issues. EPC staff compile, clean, manage, analyze and provide reliable education data and expert, non-partisan testimony to a variety of audiences to inform decision-making at the local, state and national levels. The center supports the work of doctoral candidates and serves as a venue for researchers across disciplines to publish education-related work in both scholarly and mainstream formats.
Co-Directors Robert Floden and William Schmidt, both recognized as University Distinguished Professors by the MSU Board of Trustees, work with two dozen faculty members in the College of Education and in other departments across the university to bring top thinking to bear on the challenges facing education policy makers.

The College of Education at MSU is home to an intensive five-year teacher preparation program, several nationally ranked programs of graduate study and a vibrant research community that is committed to making a difference in practice. The faculty remains committed to addressing the educational and physical needs of all learners across the life span, and to working closely with educators, leaders and policymakers in the field.
