Best Buddies – A New Student Org at MSU

December 6, 2018
Missed your chance to join Best Buddies in the fall? Don’t worry! Best Buddies MSU has a few openings for the spring semester, and they want YOU! What is Best buddies? Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Their program builds one-to-one friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The MSU chapter holds monthly club events on Sundays from 1-2:30 p.m. Best Buddies has two levels of friendship. One friendship options is a “peer buddy” where you are matched in a one-to-one friendship where you hang out at club events and once a month outside of club events. The other is an “associate buddy” where you only attend the once a month events. The club has availability for both due to the interest in our chapter from the surrounding Lansing area!
