Undergraduate or graduate students are needed to assist with a large-scale NIH-funded study. The Guys/Girls Opt for Activities for Life (GOAL) project promotes healthy eating and physical activity to middle school age children. This opportunity not only provides some awesome clinical experience, but would also be a great resume booster. All positions are paid (unless the student is looking for an internship) depending on position and level of experience. See below for the positions we have available:
Data Collectors (2 days/week intermittently): Data collectors collect data between 8am-2pm during middle school hours, so that entire time frame is required. Considering that the schools are within a 2 hour radius and setup/breakdown times are included (transportation is also provided), we are looking for folks who are available during those entire time frames. Logan Hobbs (hobbslo1@msu.edu) is the Measurement Coordinator and would love to chat with you if you are available any day Monday – Friday for these entire time blocks. Please send him and the Project Manager, Aisha Hilliard (hillia51@msu.edu) an email with which days you are available during these time blocks he will get a Zoom meeting on the schedule.
Process Evaluators (Intermittent Schedule throughout the academic year): Process Evaluation positions work intermittently throughout the academic year. They join the Intervention Coaches once at the beginning, middle and end of the program (3 times per school) at the 5 schools we will be working at i.e. 15 times throughout the year. They will also join in on Zoom meetings we have with parents. This is more of a flexible school, so if your schedule cannot accommodate the other positions, maybe this could be a good fit for you.
