The Student Life and Engagement Department at the university is transitioning into a more traditional Student Affairs department. To this end, President Guskiewicz is putting together a search committee of various stakeholders, including students, to participate in the selection process for the new Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA). The VPSA will oversee a variety of aspects of student life, including the registered student organizations.
ASMSU is seeking student nominations for this search committee. Nominations will be due by Friday, November 15 at 11:59 pm. Please fill out the attached form if you are interested in serving on the committee. Filling out this form is not an automatic guarantee of placement on the search committee. A slate of nominees will be sent to the President to select 3-4 students from.
It is anticipated a potential selection for the role will be determined by late spring semester. Participation in the search committee will begin in late November and will last through most of the Spring 2025 semester. It is expected that participation on such a committee will require a substantial time commitment with an expectation of flexibility for evening and weekend time commitments as needed.
