Parent Engagement and Partnerships in Early Childhood: Research from Across the Big Ten

Parent engagement is an umbrella term used to describe the social dynamics and interaction patterns between families and schools. Parent engagement, broadly defined, is associated with positive social emotional and academic outcomes in young children. However, research shows that parent engagement remains a persistent challenge for schools, particularly with families of young children from marginalized groups. This event, featuring experts from the Big Ten Early Learning Alliance, including Charis Wahman from the MSU College of Education, will explore current research on parent engagement and partnerships, highlighting their crucial connection to policy and practice. This free online webinar will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 @ 1p.m. ET.
