Chinese Film Festival

To increase the understanding of modern Chinese culture and society, MSU’s Confucius Institute is working with the Asian Studies Center, the Office of China Programs, the Department of Linguistics & Germanic, Slavic, Asian and African Languages to host a series of Chinese film screenings and discussion forums. This series will kick-off with an opening event and film screening on Oct 5th, 2017. Consul General of China to Chicago, Mr. HONG Lei, will join the event and provide opening remarks. The theme for the series is “Exploring Relationships in Modern Chinese Film,” with the screening of two films: Duckweed on Oct 5th, 2017 and Soulmate on Nov 2nd, 2017. After each screening, an open forum will be held for the audience to have a discussion around the theme and the film. For locations and time, please see the event flyer for details.
