Community-Engaged Scholarship Writing Retreat

October 18 - October 19

This academic writing retreat provides a dedicated space and time away from campus for faculty, academic staff, and graduate students to write about their community-engaged scholarship, including service-learning or civic engagement, and their community-engaged research, outreach projects, or community partnerships.

This two-day, residential retreat includes unstructured time to work on your own writing and optional workshops to strengthen your writing and publishing skills. Throughout the retreat, feedback is available from The Writing Center, University Outreach and Engagement, and your peers.

Participants are expected to already have a community-engaged scholarship writing project, and to bring their own laptop, power cord, and writing materials. Attendance both days is required. Participants should come prepared to focus their time and attention on their writing.
