Community & Well-Being – College of Education International Graduate Students

March 29, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am EDT

Community & Well-Being: an event for College of Education International Students.
An invitation to all international graduate students in the College of Education for a community circle on Friday March 29th 10-11.30am EST in-person! The theme for this circle is “Well-being and Resilience.”
There will be two more sessions this semester and dates for those will be sent soon. The circle will be facilitated by College of Education students, Lamia Bagasrawala and Seyoung Hong. The circles are designed as reflective, interactive, and experiential community spaces for fostering connections, art-based reflections and sharing stories/narratives. In these circles, we will incorporate arts-based practices using mediums like visual art, stories, poetry, photographs, crafts, and elements of nature to engage with the self metaphorically, identify our strengths and assets, reflect on our well-being and critically engage with ideas of self-care. Prior knowledge/ experience with any arts or art modalities is not required.
Please register by March 25th for planning of materials and lunch. Registration will close when a capacity of 12 participants has been reached. Register here.
Supported by the College of Education Equity Fellows Grant. Please reach out to Lamia (bagasraw@msu.edu) and/or Seyoung (hongseyo@msu.edu)  with any questions.
