History and Future of CBM: Monitoring Progress to Improve Instruction

Curriculum-based measurement (CBM) is system of monitoring student progress in response to intervention. Data-based individualization (DBI) is systematic use of CBM data to intensify interventions. This presentation will describe the origins of CBM, how use of CBM has evolved and future directions for improving implementation. Presentation followed by panel with invited guests.
