Decoloniality Dialogues: Africa

September 21, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT

Decoloniality Dialogue Collective is an interdisciplinary and transnational group of educators, scholars, thinkers and practitioners that came together in a moment of cognitive dissonance pertaining to the contradictions between modes of decolonial thought and the colonial logics that underpin research endeavors, teaching practice and interpersonal interactions. As a collective, we seek to expand, make connections among and align with existing community initiatives, with the goal of building other ways of being and engaging that divest from the harm, violence and exclusions of colonial logics and institutions.

The collective includes Dr. Upenyu Majee (OISE & African Studies Center), Dr. Alex Allweiss (CITE), Dr. Romina Peña-Pincheira (recent CITE alum), and Rachel Lockart (CITE).

JOIN WEBINAR via Zoom (password: 624949). NOTE: Presentation will begin at 11am EDT.
