DEI Conversations in Sport: A Roadmap for Disability Sport Programming

September 25, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

The DEI Conversations in Sport conference series seeks to identify topics, provide a space for solution-focused discussion, develop strategies to combat the -isms and -phobias, and equip coaches and administrators with the tools to improve their youth sports environments.

This year’s conference topic is DEI Conversations in Sport: A Roadmap for Disability Sport Programming. This workshop will help sport practitioners (coaches, administrators, and teachers) develop a pathway to bring disability sport programming to their schools and communities.

Please join this two-part hybrid professional development opportunity conducted by faculty and staff from the MSU Institute for the Study of Youth Sports and the MSU Department of Kinesiology. To accommodate the busy schedules of workshop participants, programming has been split into a 2-hour interactive Zoom presentation (September 25, 6:00PM-8:00PM Eastern), followed by an on-campus experience (September 30, 2024, 8:30AM-2:00PM) that will engage participants in adapted sport programming.
