DEI Dialogues: Practices and Principles for College Recruiting

Connect with MSU Leaders, Alumni, and Employer Partners as we discuss tactics and strategies to engage the diverse early career talent pools on campus, and develop plans to improve DEI college recruiting and retention for organizations of all sizes.
This conference will feature a variety of speakers ranging from industry experts, employer spotlights and MSU leaders as they discuss the following topics:
- Opening Remarks featuring Dr. Jabbar Bennett Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, MSU Black Alumni, MSU DEI Steering Committee Co-Chairs, and MSU Career Services Network
- MSU’s DEI Initiatives and their relation to corporate practices
- MSU Campus Recruiting: How to connect, actively engage and develop impactful relationships with diverse student populations
- DEI Practices in Retaining Talent from Diverse Populations: How to connect, actively engage and develop impactful relationships to retain diverse workforce
- DEI Dialogues: practice-sharing and conversation
- Listening Session with Student Feedback
- Closing Remarks
As a result of this program, participants will be able to identify ways they can begin to implement practices immediately and employ efforts in their day to day work. They will also establish connections to move forward in diverse recruiting at MSU with future opportunities to collaborate and connect with the university community.
