Zahra Safaeepour holds a Ph.D. in Biomechanics, MSc, and BSc in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Tehran, Iran. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the biomechanics lab at Georgia State University, where she investigated walking biomechanics in children with limb loss. Prior to moving to Michigan, she was a tenure-track assistant professor of exercise and sports science at the University of South Carolina Upstate, where she acquired experience in teaching and advising students. She also worked as a visiting assistant professor of biomechanics at Whittier College, CA. Her research interest lies in the area of human motion analysis. Overall, her research goal is to assist individuals with disability regain their lost physical functions through creative applications of biomechanics and assistive devices. She currently live in Lansing, Michigan with her husband and son, Iliya.
