Laila McCloud’s Ungrading Talk & Workshop

December 5, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EST

As U.S. higher education slowly evolves to meet a variety of learning needs, so should our methods of assessing learning. Critical learning assessment, such as upgrading, invites higher education instructors to (re)examine the strategies and tools used to evaluate learning in more holistic and personalized ways. This session will invite a conversation about how who we are as instructors influences how we create and evaluate learning opportunities.

In person in Erickson Hall Room 116-H or via Zoom.

Speaker:

Laila McCloud (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Higher Education at Grand Valley State University. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies (Higher Education and Student Affairs) from the University of Iowa.
