Effective Practices in Online Teaching & Future Directions in Coach Education

Presented by Jennifer Nalepa, a graduate student at MSU.

Jennifer Nalepa will share her core principles in teaching and learning, approaches to designing an online course, and solutions to common challenges in the online learning environment. She will also discuss principles of advising students and future directions for curriculum and program development in coach education.

About the Speaker

Jennifer Nalepa currently serves as a graduate teaching assistant for Michigan State University in the Department of Kinesiology. She has successfully proposed her dissertation, and anticipates earning her Ph.D. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Psychosocial Aspects of Sport and Physical Activity in May 2018. She has served as a primary instructor for an undergraduate online course and a teaching assistant for two online graduate courses, and possesses certificates in college teaching and online teaching and learning as part of her doctoral education. Nalepa has scholarly interests in sport parenting, coach mentoring, and the learning habits of Generation Z athletes.
