Family, Culture & Technology in Rehabilitation

The Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education (CEPSE) and the Rehabilitation Counseling Search Committee invite you to a research colloquium by Eun-Jeong Lee. JOIN US VIA ZOOM.

Eun-Jeong Lee, Ph.D., CRC, LCPC is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology, counseling and rehabilitation science division at Illinois Institute of Technology. Lee received her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. She also worked for four years as a psychologist in Korea after receiving her master’s degree in developmental psychology from Catholic University of Korea. She has served in many leadership roles, including Region 5 representative of the National Council on Rehabilitation Education and treasurer of American Psychological Association Division 22 (Rehabilitation Psychology).

Lee’s research focuses on vocational rehabilitation, psychosocial issues facing family and caregivers of people with disability, multicultural issues related to help-seeking behavior and assistive technology for individuals with disabilities.

This presentation will highlight how family, culture and technology can a) make rehabilitation services more accessible and b) improve psychosocial adaptation/adjustment for people with chronic illness and disabilities.
