Global Research Sharing Series: Faculty and Student Work
April 16, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am EDT
Do you miss chatting with colleagues about their work in progress? If so, we encourage you to attend the third research-sharing event hosted by The Office of International Studies in Education. This month, we will feature the work-in-progress of two faculty members and two graduate students:
Dr. Bethany Wilinski
Using Video-cued ethnography to understand stakeholder perspectives on preprimary quality in Tanzania
Dr. Riyad Shahjahan
Temporality, academic mobility and geopolitics of knowledge
Erin L. Sonneveldt
Internationalization in democracy’s college: A critical discourse analysis
Romina Peña-Pincheira
Towards a decolonial praxis in the EFL Class in the Chilean context of protests: Teaching & learning to be socially and politically engaged.
Each presenter will briefly share their work and participants will be invited to join one of the presenters in a breakout room for further conversation. Those sharing research can get feedback, learn about others’ interests, and just have others to talk through research with at a time when many of us are feeling more isolated than we’d like. These gatherings will also allow all of us—whether you share your research
or not—to build ties with colleagues around themes, ideas, or regions of the world.
For information on how to attend, contact Christine Caster (caster@msu.edu).
