Join Michigan State University’s
Global Youth Advancement Network (MSU GYAN)

for the third installment of its Global Voices webinar series. Global Voices showcases the work young global innovators, MSU faculty, and industry leaders are doing in relation to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The series also serves as a coordinating platform for research and outreach activities at MSU and connects young innovators with faculty and industry mentors.

  • Jainisha Chavda – MSU Doctoral Candidate in Educational Policy. Prior to MSU, she worked with non-profit and government organizations like SEWA, Adani Foundation, and WAPCOS in India. She was also a lecturer of international studies at Pandit Deendayal Energy University in India. She holds a master’s degree in international development from University of Birmingham (U.K) as a Commonwealth Scholar.
  • Joel Saboi Mvula – Founder of Masambilo Research and Sustainability Action. Joel holds a BA in Psychology and another in English Language & Literature with Education from Rusangu University in Zambia. He is an Honors Educational Psychology student at the University of Pretoria.
  • Abhijit Sinha – Creator of Project DEFY. Through DEFY, Abhijit has worked with over 17 communities and enabled 7000+ individuals to become self-learners. He has set up Nooks in 3 countries such as India, Uganda, and Rwanda and is now looking at setting up a Nook Hub in Zimbabwe.
