Graduate Student & PostDoc Virtual Writing Retreat
June 14, 2021 - June 18, 2021
Are you a graduate student or postdoc in the College of Education? Would you like to make progress on a research project, explore different ways to organize your research and writing time, and do so in a community of colleagues from across the college? If so, the college’s first grad student & postdoc virtual writing retreat from June 14 – 18 is for you.
Each participant is expected to dedicate 6 hours/day (including lunch and other break time) to participate in the writing retreat from June 14-18; among other things, this means no texting, social media or surfing the web unless on a break. Participation in the synchronous schedule is important, and participation in all introductory morning sessions and all Base Camp check-ins and check-outs is required because introducing new time management concepts and providing peer support are key features of the writing retreat. Base Camp groups are randomly assigned groups of three (3) participants and will remain the same throughout the week.
LOGISTICS
There is NO COST for current College of Education students and postdocs.
You must be in a space that allows you to focus on writing from 9:00a – 3:00p each day, and which enables you to have good access to Zoom. The Zoom link will be provided to participants.
