March 26, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT

Please join us for our first inaugural Gwen Norrell Endowed Lecture on Youth Sport and Student-Athlete Well-Being. We are honored to have Dr. Bradley Hatfield a Professor and Chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs in the School of Public Health at the University of Maryland who will serve as our speaker.

Bradley Hatfield, PhD, FACSM, FNAK

Hatfield’s research focuses on the mental aspects and brain dynamics associated with human performance and stress resilience in athletes. Over the past decade, he has championed the planning of a Center for Sports Medicine, Health, and Human Performance at the University of Maryland. This is a broad initiative to promote research, education and service in the area of brain health and performance in athletes. His presentation will focus on how to facilitate a partnership between sport science, medicine and intercollegiate athletics to enhance student-athlete performance and well-being.
