ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Prof. Carnoy is a labor economist with a special interest in the political economy of the educational system. He specializes in comparative analysis. A professor at Stanford’s Graduate School of Education, he is a member of the National Academy of Education and the International Academy of Education and has been a president of the Comparative and International Education Society. Dr. Carnoy has extensive experience as a consultant to the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNESCO, IEA, OECD, UNICEF, and the International Labour Office.
