LGBTQ+ Issues in Education 101: Language, Identity, and Inclusion

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is excited to announce the launch of this year’s learning initiative Operating in an Anti-LGBTQ+ Climate: Responses from Educators & Advocates. The first session LGBTQ+ Issues in Education 101: Language, Identity, and Inclusion, will take place on Thursday, September 28th in Erickson Hall, room 133F from 10:30-12:00. Please join this session as Dr. Justin Gutzwa leads a conversation about the current state of LGBTQ+ communities in the U.S. education system. Session 1 will introduce key concepts, language, terminology, and other considerations when working with queer and trans communities.
