Panel Discussion: Active Learning in Online Classes

How do you promote active learning in online classes? What tools have you used? What tools have worked best?
Join a discussion with faculty from the College of Education (CED) and the College of Communication Arts & Sciences (CAS) on these questions.
Active learning is a key factor in student learning and enjoyment in their classes, but the shift to online instruction caused by COVID-19 is a hindrance to active learning. By gathering scholars who understand educational contexts and mediated communication well, we hope to identify key factors and current tools that facilitate successful active learning experiences for students.
This discussion will be mostly instruction-oriented, but opportunities for research collaborations may arise.
