Pedagogies that Trans-gress: A Queer and Trans Ethic of Care in Action

The Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Partnerships is hosting the third session of their learning initiative Operating in an Anti-LGBTQ+ Climate: Responses from Educators & Advocates on January 16, 2024 at 1:00pm. Session 3, Pedagogies that Trans-gress: A Queer and Trans Ethic of Care in Action, will take place via Zoom Webinar . For those who would like to gather in person and watch the Webinar live, you can do so in Erickson Hall, Room 133F. Bishop Owis will lead a conversation exploring how queer, trans, Black, Indigenous and otherwise racialized (QTBIPOC) teachers practice radical forms of care that take up the call for a “queer and trans ethic of care” in K-12 schools. Session 3 is open to all members of the CED community and no prior knowledge is necessary.
