Presidential Search Committee Input Session

September 18, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm EDT

This session is primarily for faculty, staff, post-docs and student leaders of the MSU Colleges of Education and Communication Arts and Sciences. By request, separate sessions will be held for graduate and undergraduate students.

This session will take place at WKAR, Studio A.

WHO WILL BE THERE TO LISTEN

Members of the search committee, including co-chairs: Trustees Dianne Byrum and Melanie Foster.

FORMAT

The session will be moderated by Terry Curry. This is an input session: Committee members will listen and take notes. They will not respond to questions. Individuals will have two (2) minutes to provide input on three (3) topics:

  • Desired characteristics of our new president
  • Challenges and problems at MSU that our new president should address
  • Vision for the future of MSU that the president should be able to articulate

Attendees will be given a chance to step up to a microphone and provide input. If a number of participants express interest, speakers will be determined through a random draw. Online submission options will be available for those who are unable to attend or don’t get an opportunity to speak during the session.
