About John Yun
Dr. Yun is an Associate Professor of Education in the College of Education at MSU. He brings a longstanding commitment to, and experience with, issues of equity, access and inclusion. His research focuses on the effects of school context on educational barriers for underrepresented students in the education system. More recently he has been focusing on how local data can be used to improve practice in both K-12 and higher education institutions. He has a successful track record publishing in top peer-reviewed journals and was the founding director of the University of California Educational Evaluation Center (UCEC), a seven-campus center that addressed educational problems through the rigorous evaluation of potential solutions. For the past 5 years he served as the K-12 Unit Coordinator in the Department of Educational Administration where he gained a great deal of experience learning about the College of Education at MSU.
The search committee for Associate Dean for Equity and Inclusion in the College of Education invites you to participate in a Focus Group Dialogue with Dr. John Yun.
In our commitment to both ensure college-wide engagement in the search for this college leader and take the necessary measures to protect the community from the novel coronavirus; we are offering a series of Focus Group Zoom Meetings.

Each one-hour focus group will involve approximately 10 minutes for the candidate to offer framing comments; 45 minutes of facilitated interaction based upon previously obtained questions from the college community; and 5 minutes for a wrap-up. Please feel free to join in any, and as many, focus group convening of your choosing. Please note that focus group sessions will also be recorded for your access and feedback later.
