Student Affairs Educators: Finding the Light in an Anti-DEIJ Climate

Attend this insightful panel discussion to celebrate Careers in Student Affairs Month with Michigan State University’s College of Education. This event explores the ever-evolving social and political landscape of student affairs work, focusing on the current hostilities toward diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice work across the United States. A panel of MSU alumni and students discuss the challenges student affairs educators with minoritized identities incur in the current climate and the ways they still find opportunities to celebrate triumphs. The panelists share their unique insights into how they, alongside their colleagues, advocates and allies, play pivotal roles in shaping the field of student affairs. This event is organized by the Student Affairs Administration (SAA) MA Program and the Higher, Adult and Lifelong Education (HALE) MA Program in the Education Administration Department at MSU.
