Teaching & Learning with Generative AI Series

October 25, 2024 @ 4:00 pm EDT

As part of the Teaching & Learning with Generative AI series, this session will explore "Generative AI and Advanced Science Learning for Real-world Knowledge Application."

This talk will explore the broader applications of generative AI in education, focusing on how it can create dynamic, personalized and multi-perspectival learning environments that foster deeper understanding and knowledge transfer. It also presents a research study examining how AI-driven, case-based learning, grounded in Cognitive Flexibility Theory (CFT), compares to traditional linear methods in helping students apply scientific knowledge to real-world problems, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. By integrating AI with CFT principles, the study aims to enhance adaptive learning and problem-solving in complex, real-world contexts.

This session is online only.

Registration is required. Register here.
