Tending to Exhaustion & Burnout
November 11, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EST
Fall semester 2020 has presented the MSU community with many challenges to navigate, including but not limited to: prolonged anxiety related to the global pandemic; racialized strife expressed through protest and activism; economic insecurity; an extremely contentious national election; and the natural changes that happen when an institution is undergoing significant leadership changes.
These challenges, along with increased parenting, caregiving and work responsibilities, have resulted in many members of our community feeling emotionally exhausted and experiencing varying degrees of burnout.
In this session, we’ll gather together to:
- Take a collective breath
- Connect with colleagues
- Honor & transcend our differences
- Sit in a space of mutual care and compassion
- Reflect on some health-enhancing strategies to help in the coming months
