Transforming Leadership & Learning Institute

You are invited to join the inaugural Transforming Leadership & Learning Institute hosted by the Michigan State University College of Education. The institute will be at the MSU Henry Center for Executive Development from July 24-26, 2024.
This empowering professional development opportunity will highlight, advance, and invite innovation for Michigan’s PK-12 and postsecondary education and philanthropic organizations.
Featured Education Topics:
- Literacy, including sessions specifically on early childhood learners
- Technology, including sessions on ethical challenges and usages of artificial intelligence in education
- Policy, including sessions on freedom and the Morrill Act
- Women in Leadership
Featured Speakers:
Leaders from MSU’s renowned College of Education will lead sessions and discussion groups. Speakers include:
- Kristine L. Bowman, associate dean for academic and student affairs and a professor of law and education policy
- Sheneka Williams, professor and chair of the Department of Educational Administration
- Kui Xie, Red Cedar Distinguished Professor and chair of the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education
The institute is developed and coordinated by the college’s Executive-in-Residence Carlton D. Jenkins and Research Associate Richard McGregory.
Cost and Location:
Institute costs are $300 for in-person attendees and $200 for virtual attendees. Seating is limited for in-person attendees.
Regardless of modality, attendees will be awarded SCHECHs; details to come.
The institute will be held at the MSU James B. Henry Center for Executive Development, located at 3535 Forest Road in Lansing, Michigan.
