Undergraduate Research in Education Abroad
March 18, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT
This session is designed for educators interested in integrating research into their education abroad program. Many educators recognize the potential for undergraduate research to be a high-impact practice for achieving excellence in education today. While research abroad helps students gain hands on research experience and discipline-specific knowledge, it also aids in deep and meaningful engagement with the local culture. These valuable outcomes are positively correlated with the pedagogy of the program.
This session will highlight three different program models with an embedded research component that we currently run through the Office for Education Abroad.
Lunch will not be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own to the workshop.
