How do I add a minor in Health Promotion or Coaching?

December 10, 2018

Information, including the process for adding a Minor through the Kinesiology Department, is posted on the College website.

Health Promotion:

Non-KIN majors can add the Minor in Health Promotion any time between September 1 and March 1 each year.  You will find information, requirements and the process for adding the credential on the College of Education website at http://education.msu.edu/academics/undergraduate/kinesiology/health-promotion.asp.  There is a link to the required form; please complete and click “submit.”  There is no need to make an advising appointment.

If you have specific questions, feel free to follow up with Becky Olsen at beckyo@msu.edu.

Coaching:

Information and the process for adding a Minor in Coaching through the Kinesiology Department is posted on the College website at http://www.education.msu.edu/academics/undergraduate/kinesiology/coaching.asp.  There is a link to the required form; please complete and click “submit.”  You will see the Minor on your StuInfo site within a couple of days.

There is no need to make an advising appointment but if you have questions, you can contact Justin Wolfe at wolfejus@msu.edu.

Once the Minor is posted to your student record, you will have access to the KIN classes listed on the form. If you have trouble enrolling in an open class section, please contact a KIN advisor to request an override.
