Academic Leaders From the University of Cape Coast, Ghana Visit the College

March 29, 2019

A group of faculty leaders from the College of Education Studies at the University of Cape Coast Ghana visited MSU in February to meet with faculty and learn about how we prepare teachers. Led by Spartan alum (Ph.D Math Education (2007)) Provost Eric Wilmot, the group spent time meeting with MSU faculty and visiting places like the MSU Hub for Innovation in Learning and Technology, the Digital Scholarship Lab at the MSU library, and the MSU museum.

MSU faculty had an opportunity to learn about teacher education in Ghana and both groups talked a lot about ways we can collaborate in the future. One opportunity that everyone was excited about was the possibility of developing new education abroad programs and academic exchanges or virtual collaboration and communication between our teacher candidates to explore global issues and projects that make an impact in our schools and communities. We will keep you posted on the progress of our conversations.
