Negotiating Job Offers: Career Services Network Summer Series
May 29, 12 to 12:45 p.m.

Spartan Nature Walks
June 1, 1 to 2 p.m. 
Join MSU’s Department of Forestry for an opportunity to get outside, explore nature, go for a walk and inhale some fresh air. Assistant Professor Asia Dowtin will guide June’s walk. Dr. Dowtin will provide polaroid cameras to participants so they can snap a photo of a tree, then head over to MSU Surplus where you can participate in an upcycling crafting event – a picture frame and/or a plant propagator/bud vase. East Lansing Farmers Market Walk-and-Talk Tour: MSU Museum
June 2, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
 Attendees will get to meet the passionate people who bring food from the fields to plates, get in touch with the “slow food” movement, and learn about what goes into supporting and maintaining hyperlocal food systems. Learn more via MSU Museum

Music and The Garden: MSU Strings and Voice
June 2, 1 to 3 p.m.
 This event will offer family activities at 1 p.m., followed by a concert at 2 p.m. featuring MSU College of Music groups and conclude with a “Plant Perspectives Tour” that starts at 3 p.m. Learn more about this event and the series via MSU College of Music

MSU Educational Technology Summit.
June 3-6. 
This event aims to familiarize instructors, staff and students with campus technologies supporting teaching and learning. This year, there will be workshops and presentations on useful tips and instructor experiences using technology tools and campus resources such as: Camtasia, Packback, Eli Review, Piazza, Crowdmark, Read&Write, OrbitNote, Equatio, Spartan A11y, h5p, iClicker, DigitalDesk, Open Educational Resources (OER) and more. HYBRID EVENTS: Learn more via iteachMSU

Writing Resumes and Cover Letters: Career Services Network Summer Series
June 4, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
 This workshop will focus on writing and formatting a resume and cover letter. After completion of the workshop, students will be able to identify formatting options, implement strategies to tailor their resume and describe the basic content areas to include on a resume. VIRTUAL EVENT: Register via Handshake

RECR Workshop: Ethics in Research and Creative Activity, and Effective Mentoring
June 5, 9 to 10 a.m.
 This virtual workshop reviews types of misconduct that occur in proposing, performing or reviewing research and scholarly activities, and best ways to avoid these. The session will also discuss proper behavior in mentor-mentee relationships. VIRTUAL EVENT: Learn more via the Graduate School

Fall 2024 TA Tuition Pool Application Opens
Attention: Graduate Teaching Assistants
The Graduate Employees Union and Michigan State University agreed to add 500 additional tuition credits to the tuition waiver benefit for teaching assistants. This additional benefit will be in place for May 2024 to May 2028. The Fall tuition pool is available to students appointed as teaching assistants in Fall 2024. Apply by: June 24. Call for Research Participants: Zing Program Study
School Psychology doctoral student Nancy J. Hernandez is studying the potential benefits of physical activity on cognitive and behavioral skills, specifically for Latino children (ages 7-11). As part of her research, Nancy is seeking Latinx parents and children to participate in a 12-week physical activity program. Children can participate in the $500-value program for FREE  (twice daily for 10 to 15 minutes each time) and parents can earn up to a $50 Amazon gift card for completing outcome measures.
