The School of Education, Loyola University Chicago announces an Assistant Professor, tenure-track position with primary teaching, research and service responsibility in Higher Education. The selected individual will join faculty in the School’s NCATE-accredited undergraduate and graduate programs, all of which are shaped around the School’s conceptual framework of advancing professionalism in the service of social justice.
The selected individual will teach masters and doctoral courses in higher education, provide advising support to graduate students, supervise doctoral dissertations, and conduct an active research and publication program. Applications are welcome from scholars with expertise and teaching interests within one or more of the following areas: curriculum, student development, and/ or higher education policy. He or she will also demonstrate a commitment to serving a diverse student body and profession along with alignment with Loyola University Chicago’s commitment to advancing social justice.
Required qualifications include: earned doctorate in higher education, college student personnel administration, or other closely related field. Desirable qualifications include: evidence of scholarly work other than the dissertation; teaching experience at the post-secondary level; and success in securing research funds and/ or participation in funded projects.
