Assistant Professor of Higher and Adult Education in the Department of Leadership, University of Memphis: Tenure track position # 002974
Qualifications: Required are (a) an earned doctorate in higher education, (b) experience teaching graduate level courses about higher education or community colleges, and (c) research publications in national, peer-reviewed publications plus a research plan. Additional desired qualifications are (a) experience working on externally funded research or service projects, (b) experience using instructional technology and course management systems, (c) ability to design effective online or blended coursework, (d) demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with diverse students, faculty and administrators, (e) experience advising doctoral students through the dissertation, and (f) experience as a higher education administrator.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate courses, recruit and mentor graduate students, supervise research of advanced graduate students, establish and maintain a significant program of scholarly research, pursue external funding, and provide service to the program, department, college, university, and profession. The candidate will be expected to use a variety of instructional delivery methods including weekend, online, and hybrid courses.
