The Educational Leadership Studies Program in the College of Human Resources and Education at West Virginia University invites applications for two (2) early to mid-career faculty positions in higher education administration/leadership. The positions are nine-month tenure-track appointments beginning August 16, 2012. An early start date of January 1, 2012 is available, if desired. The successful candidates will provide intellectual leadership through research, graduate teaching and advising, and service to the profession, the university, and state and local communities. In addition, successful candidates will be involved in the redesign and expansion of the master’s and doctoral programs in higher education administration/leadership.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in higher education administration or higher education leadership by the time of appointment. Appointment rank will be dependent on the extent to which applicants meet the following qualifications by providing evidence of: Research and publications in refereed journals or substantial potential for success as a higher education scholar, Dissemination of research findings with presentations at local, regional, national, and international conferences, Involvement in the development of grants and contracts, Administrative/leadership experience in higher education, Graduate teaching and advising experiences in the field of higher education, Fluency in teaching via distance education or other innovative technologies.
