Getting Involved – Fall 2016

September 13th is a big night to explore ways to get involved! 

Spartan Performance Open House – At 7pm Spartan Performance will be hosting an open house at its facility (4660 S. Hagadorn Suite 100, East Lansing, MI) open to all KIN students. Events will include combine testing (vertical jump, broad jump, speed, agility), opportunity to run on our High Speed Treadmill, and an open Q&A with our staff and current interns. PEK Student Org – First Meeting 9/13 & 9/14 – Info meeting at 208 IM West 7:00PM. PEK will host an informal rush process this spring. Come and meet the brothers and see what we have to offer! Go to their website for more information: www.msupek.com.

Another experience to get involved with this year…

The Health Behaviors and Cognition Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology is seeking highly motivated undergraduate students who are interested in working as PAID research assistants for an ongoing project investigating the impact of sport-related concussions on cognition. This is a field-based project that will have students assisting with administering cutting edge concussion assessments in area schools.

Requirements of this position include:

Availability on at least one of the following days/times:

  •             Monday between 2 and 7pm
  •             Tuesday between 2 and 7pm
  •             Thursday between 2 and 7pm

Availability to attend training on either:

  •             Thursday, September 15th in the afternoon
  •             Friday, September 16th in the morning

Open interviews for these positions will be conducted on Thursday (9/8) in room 217 IM Circle (http://maps.msu.edu/interactive/index.php?location=IC) from 3pm to 4:30pm.
