- Nutrition –this internship of 6–8 hours a week will primarily consist of helping with the implementation of Farmers’ Markets across the UM campus as well as chef demos on campus. - Project Healthy Schools—this internship of up to 30 hours a week will consist of helping with onsite events at schools, producing instructional videos for teachers, working on curriculum revision & development, and assisting in assembling lesson materials . One’s own transportation is required, as travel to area middle schools is necessary. - Tobacco Consultation Service—this internship of up to 20 hours a week is designed for the intern to work with the development and implementation of a smoke-free student ambassador program. - Physical Activity / Employee Wellness—this internship of up to 30 hours a week will assist in program planning, implementation and analysis (particularly with physical activity programs, but including other programs as well). Also involved may be some experience in learning about planning large wellness events.
